1.About the service

SentiNews is a non-commercial, educational web platform. It allows authorised users to create projects on a topic or brand, collect publicly available news articles in English, Russian, and Kazakh, and view automated analytics such as sentiment, topics, geography, sources, and influencers.

2.Eligibility and accounts

To use the service you must be at least 16 years old. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.

3.Acceptable use

By using SentiNews, you agree NOT to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in a way that could harm individuals or organisations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts, the database, or the underlying servers.
• Try to overload, disrupt, or interfere with the platform's normal operation.
• Re-publish or sell the analytical data produced by the platform for commercial purposes without prior consent of the authors.

4.Content and data sources

News articles displayed in the platform are fetched from publicly available sources via official APIs (NewsAPI.org, SerpAPI, NewsData.io, Event Registry, World News API). All article rights remain with their original publishers. SentiNews shows only a short excerpt and a link to the original article.

5.Intellectual property

The source code, design, analytical models, and documentation of SentiNews belong to the authors of the diploma project. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the platform for personal, academic, or research purposes.

6.Disclaimer of warranties

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" for academic and demonstration purposes. The authors make no warranties about uptime, accuracy of sentiment scores, completeness of collected mentions, or fitness for any specific business purpose. Analytical results should not be treated as professional advice.

7.Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the authors of the project shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the platform. Because the platform is non-commercial, the authors' total liability is limited to providing access to the diploma project's source code and documentation.

8.Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the diploma project evolves. The most recent version is always published on this page. By continuing to use the platform after changes are posted, you agree to the updated Terms.
